Delainey Lantz

I am currently a senior majoring in Fashion, Dress, and Merchandising at WVU. I have always wanted to work in fashion, often saying at a young age that I wanted to be a fashion designer when I grew up and carrying around a small notebook of “Delainey’s Designs.” As I have grown, I have realized that I want to go into dress conservation and museum curation to work with historical fashion. I plan to pursue my master’s in this upon my graduation later this year. In my spare time, I love to paint, read, and attend live music performances.

Delainey assisted Dr. Mehta in her fabric haptics study and will be part of the research team conducting several projects on textile sustainability in the Consumer Neuroscience lab.

My name is James McCay, and I am currently in the Fashion, Dress, and Merchandising program at WVU. I have a passion for sustainability that stems from my love for nature. I enjoy hiking, upcycling clothing, and just being outdoors. Since the fashion industry is so harmful to the environment, I am constantly searching for new ways to reduce the impacts of my consumption. Upon graduation, I plan to pursue a master’s degree and further research ways to change the fashion industry for the better.
